Slate-throated Redstart, Pipeline Trail, Boquete, Panama
Pipeline Trail to Cascada Escondida (Hidden Waterfall), near Boquete, Chiriqui Province, Panama (September 2016)
This bird was spotted in a small clearing at the side of the trail. It perched in full view for a full 2 seconds before moving on but I did manage to rattle off a few shots! The trail is open from 8 am to 3 pm. We turned up at the kiosk, which appeared closed, at about 2.45 pm. A man soon appeared and claimed our entrance fees.
