Also known as Emerald-throated Carib/Hummingbird, Green Doctor Bird, Green Carib. The sub-species holosericeus is seen on the island. The Green-throated Carib is one of three species of hummingbird that can be seen on St. Lucia. The other two species are the Purple-throated Carib and the Antillean Crested Hummingbird. The Green-throated Carib appeared to be the least approachable of the three hummingbird species.
