Cherrie's Tanager (female), Casa Corcovado, Costa Rica - Cherrie's Tanager
Casa Corcovado Jungle Lodge, Corcovado National Park, Osa Peninsula, Costa Rica (January 2016)

Very commonly seen in the gardens around the Lodge. Male is practically indistinguishable from the male Passerini's Tanager seen on the north-eastern / Caribbean side of Costa Rica. However, the female Cherrie's has an orange breast and rump which the female Passerini's lacks. Endemic to south-western / Pacific side of Costa Rica and western Panama. Status is Least Concern.
