Bittern standing on some bent reeds at Hatch Pond, Poole
Hatch Pond Nature Reserve, Poole, Dorset (February 2010)
This bird was balanced on some bent reeds for a couple of hours and didn't move position while I was there. Viewed from across the Pond - the bird had to be pointed out to me as it blended in with the reeds so well and wasn't moving much.
